41/52 Pictures of the Tower of London

Chapel of St John the Evangelist on the 1st floor of the White
Tower. Part of the original White Tower construction, an example of Norman
architecture and London's oldest church. This is where the monarchs and
their entourage worshiped. It is also the place where the knights of the
Order of the Bath spent their vigil the night before a coronation. Under the
stairs leading to the Chapel the corpse of two young Princes were found, Edward V and his younger brother Richard, Duke of York.
Said to have been killed by their uncle the Duke of Gloucester (Richard III)
by some but by Henry VII by others.
