As you exit Lanthorn Tower directly in front of you is
Salt Tower as seen here. Another of Henry III constructions and the place
where Hugh Draper of Bristol (an astrologer) was held prisoner on suspicion
of sorcery in 1561. He carved huge sphere on the wall which
can still be seen.
