Description: The Holiday Inn Luton South M1 Jct9 is slightly misleadingly named. Though very close to Luton its actually a couple of miles to the south west. Indeed under pervious ownership it was named the Hertforshire Moat House, Hertforshire being a different county altogether (Luton is in Bedfordshire). The surrounding area is known as Markyate which itself lies between the lager and better known towns of St Albans and Luton. At just 4.5 miles from Luton airport it makes a great option for a Luton Airport Hotel as its easily accessed by the nearby M1 motorway. The M1 is not just great for the airport but actually runs from North London to the south (adjacent to Brent Cross shopping mall) and all the way out to the North of England in the opposite direction. Nearest attractions include Woodside Animal Farm & Leisure Park (1.9 miles), Hitchin Museum (2 miles), Boxfield Art Gallery (2 miles), Stockwood Country Park (3 miles), Knebworth House (3 miles), Bury Park (3.8 miles), Whipsnade zoo (4.5 miles), St Albans Cathedral (8.5 miles) and Hertford Castle (10 miles).
