Introduction: The Millennium and Copthorne Hotels at
Chelsea FC is situated on the Fulham road. Close to the famous Kings Road in
Chelsea which runs parallel and where many chic and upmarket restaurants along
with a large range of shops and boutiques can be found. Despite its name the
hotel is NOT actually in Chelsea, its in Fulham. This location is on the Western
edge of central London and very convenient for Heathrow Airport while being
close to the heart of London. The hotel is located on a complex adjacent to the
site of Chelsea football ground, known as Chelsea Village and covering an area
of 12 acres. Close to two large exhibition centres at Earls Court (0.6 miles)
and Olympia (1.4 miles). This area is close to other well known tourist
favourite areas such as Kensington and Knightsbridge. Nearby attractions include
Natural History and Science Museums (1.2 miles), Fulham Palace (1.3 miles),
Kensington Palace (1.6 miles), Albert Memorial (1.6 miles), Serpentine gallery
(1.8 miles), Westminster Cathedral (2.4 miles) and Buckingham Palace (2.5
miles).
Hotel:
A unique setting within the 12 acre Chelsea football ground complex is the
location for these two hotels which are run as one single entity under both the
Millennium and Copthorne brands.
The Standard rooms are in the Copthorne Wing, Club rooms and suites are in the Millennium Wing.
The standard rooms are larger than the average hotel room found in London.
Bedrooms are en-suite with marble bathrooms (bath, shower) and have a
contemporary design. Facilities include en-suite, tea and coffee making
facilities, trouser press, in room laptop size safe, individually controlled air
conditioning, Satellite Plasma TV with pay movies and internet access, fridge
(stocked on request), wired and high
speed wireless internet-access, desk, voice mail messaging, data point for Pc
modem, Hair dryer and desk and chair.
Club Rooms are as the standard plus minibar and marble bathrooms (bathrobes, top
brand toiletries). Turndown service on request. These rooms give access to the
Club lounge where you can enjoy a complimentary breakfast, WiFi internet, light
snacks served all day and cocktails at night. Check-in is in the Millennium wing
where there is a full concierge service.

Dining options:
55 Restaurant: Urban chic setting. Innovative menu drawing on influences
from England and the rest of Europe. A choice of a la carte dining or the menu
of the day which features high quality and especially sourced seasonal
ingredients. The name of the restaurant refers to 1955 when Chelsea FC won the
League title for the first time.
Open: 06.30 till 10.00 (Sunday 07.00 till 11.00), 18.00 till 22.00. Open for
lunch on match days.
55 Bar: Modern and chic in style. The Bar is integrated into the lounge
area. Serving drinks, cocktails, coffee and an all day menu. The area has WiFi
internet access and large screen plasma televisions.
Open: 08.00 till 02.00.
Marco Restaurant: Located within the Chelsea Football Club complex, a
collaboration between restaurateur Marco Pierre White and Chelsea FC chairman
Roman Abramovich, fusing culinary delights from both sides of the channel. A
stylish and elegant restaurant.
Frankie's Sports Bar & Grill: This restaurant is the result of a
collaboration between Marco Pierre White and champion jockey Frankie Detorri.
Serves Italian dishes in a family friendly environment.
In all there are a total of 7 meeting/function rooms the largest of which is the
Attenborough room with a capacity for up to 80 reception style.
WIFI can be picked up in all public areas. Other business services provided
include fax, postal and copy services. There are also internet kiosks and a

The Millennium and Copthorne hotels have full concierge services who can help with theatre bookings and

Background: First built in
1993.
In June 2006 Millennium and Copthorne Hotels struck a deal with Chelsea
football club giving them management and branding of the hotel. During 2006/07
the bedrooms underwent a multi million pound refurbishment. The Copthorne Hotel
has 160 rooms while the Millennium has 115 rooms. They are described as 'wings'
rather than separate hotels.
