Montcalm at Brewery London City Hotel

The Montcalm London City hotel at The Brewery sits just yards from the extensive arts and leisure facilities of the Barbican Centre. The centre is the largest multi-arts and conference venue to be found in Europe with a range of actives including music, theatre, dance, film and education events. The Barbican is also home to the London Symphony Orchestra. This location is within the square mile, London financial and business district, just to the west of the central area around Moorgate. Just to the north is Old Street and the area of Islington. Known for being an area with many clubs and bars. Islington also has a very busy High Street with a good range of amenities and shops. Close by is the Museum of London (0.2 miles), at the west end of the London Wall. This part of London is convenient for attraction's such as St Pauls cathedral (0.6 miles), Old Spitalfields Market (0.7 miles), Petticoat Lane (0.7 miles) and the Tate Modern (1 mile).

The hotel was built on a site that was formerly owned by GuestInvest who ran buy-to-let ventures but went into administration. Adjacent to the hotel is 'The Brewery' which despite the name is actually a major events venue and hosts many iconic London events. Construction of the hotel began in October 2010. The Montcalm Brewery London City hotel actually takes up the front section of the Brewery which is Grade II listed.
The Montcalm London City Hotel features four meeting rooms for up to 60 delegates, an on-site gym and spa. Accommodation includes king-size bedroom suites designed for business travellers and Heritage Brewery Suites for the leisure travellers.

The hotel restaurant is the The Chiswell Street Dining Rooms and bar (formerly the The St. Paul's Tavern). Serving gourmet contemporary and older British seasonal dishes. Serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
Open from 07.00 till midnight and till 01.00 Thursday till Saturday.
Located on the corner of Milton Street and Chiswell Street the bar and restaurant evokes an atmosphere of elegance and good times.
Divided into three areas, literary inspired art and typography adorns the walls in the restaurant combining stylish leather tub chairs, luxurious banquettes and a colour palate of creams, greens and golds.

Additionally the Montcalm has a gastro pub with a British theme called The Kings Head. Serving food, cask ales and wine and featuring an open kitchen with charcoal grill and three large rotisseries.
Open 11.00 till midnight.
Classic afternoon teas, pastries and snacks are served in the lounge and gastro bar.
