Introduction: The Yotel hotel is a whole new concept in
affordable and budget priced accommodation for London airports. Actually located
within the
Gatwick airport
terminal building its the ultimate in convenience.
Clearly not designed for 2 week holidays but targeted specially at the single
overnight stay or even for a place to freshen up for a few hours.
What you get for your money is a comfortable bed and clean room, the
accommodation is actually a capsule averaging 7-square-metre. The room lights
also work by guest control with a choice of settings/moods. Additionally cabins
have a flat-screen TV with digital channels and pay movies; air-conditioning,
jukebox; bespoke toiletries; towels; and a work station with free Wi-Fi and
wired internet
access (which continues for 1 hour after you check-out). You also get en-suite
facilities which is a toilet and monsoon rain shower. A curtain is used to
separate the bathroom area from the cabin itself for a little privacy if your
sharing. If noise is a problem the reception (called the galley) has
complimentary ear plugs for guests. There's a menu in each room (called the
cabin service menu) and you can order from the reception for room delivery 24
hours. A fast breakfast is also an option. Capsules are given a purple theme
with the mood lighting and room colours. Reception/gallery is open 24/7.

In premium and accessible cabins the mood lighting can be dimmed and they have
a full length mirror. The standard rooms have a 1/2 length mirror. Premium rooms
have under bed storage for 2/3 large suitcases and 2 x cabin baggage stowages
either side bed. Standard rooms have Cabin baggage over head rack while
accessible rooms floor standing space. Premium rooms also benefit from a hand
held shower. The standard rooms have a comfortable sitting height on the single
bed while in Premium rooms the double bed deploys to a couch arrangement at the
touch of a button (think first class airline cabins). The bunk beds in the
accessible cabins also have comfortable sitting height.
Smoking is not permitted in any area of the Yotel hotels or inside the
terminals. Please note cabins do not have telephones.

Yotel Gatwick Airport South Terminal is handily situated just a few
yards from the check-in and arrivals at the south terminal. The south and north
terminals are connected by a free monorail system and takes just a few minutes.
Just under the terminal is the Gatwick Train station with services into central
London so the Yotels location in the international arrivals hall is very
convenient for making connections elsewhere after freshening up. To find the
hotel, access the lifts next to Costa Coffee and go to the lower level. You will
find Yotel Gatwick next to the airline lounges. Automated kiosks are located
here for you to check-in to the hotel. The Yotel Gatwick is landside no you must
pas through security for access if arriving by plane.
From an international flight arriving in South Terminal follow the
immigrations, baggage reclaim and arrival signs. and make your way to
International Arrivals Access the lifts next to Costa Coffee and go to the lower
level. We are located next to the airline lounges. From an international flight
arriving in North Terminal use the airside transfer bus to the South Terminal
and then follow the immigrations baggage reclaim and arrival signs. Make your
way to International Arrivals. Access the lifts next to Costa Coffee and go to
