The Continental Hotel

Introduction: The Continental Hotel opened January 2007 and is located in Hounslow some 3.5 miles to the west of Heathrow Airport. The building was formerly an office block now renovated into a hotel. Just a short stroll from Hounslow Central Tube station (Piccadilly line) which can take you to all Heathrow terminals in a few minutes or into central London within 30 minutes. Hounslow is a residential district with a busy shopping centre along its High Street. Main focus here is the Treaty Shopping Centre with its many shops and bars and which is just 300 yards from the hotel. Traditionally a town that served the traveller due to it being used as a stopover between London and the West Country from the 1200's right through to the 19th century. The hotel is some 200 yards from Lampton Park where you will find tennis courts, crazy golf, children's play area and  a Peace Garden with roses and a round pond. Feltham Bowling centre is 2.5 miles to the south in Browells Lane.  Nearest major road link is the A4 which is half a mile to the north and links into central London and to the M4 motorway. Other local attractions include Osterley Park House which lays in 300 acres of grounds and was built by architect Robert Adam (1.2 miles).

The hotel bedrooms each have an en-suite wet room that includes a power shower and toiletries. Other facilities include air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, flat screen television with movies on demand, high speed internet access, tea/coffee maker and minibar. Rooms feature large floor to ceiling windows giving airy feel along with light oak furniture, the use of medium brown colours and white cotton sheets.
Each floor is served by a lift.
The hotel runs a 24 hour room service.

Onsite is the Twentynine Restaurant, a contemporary setting which includes a bar and floor to ceiling windows. Located behind the hotel reception on the ground floor. Serves a modern European menu which is seasonal and includes vegetarian options. You can also enjoy a large wine list along with your meal. There is a children's menu offered. Breakfast served 07.00 till 10.00 (10.30 weekends).
The bar serves cocktails, spirits, beers and champagnes in stylish surroundings. Also serves light snacks and afternoon tea. Closes 23.00.

The hotel features its own high tech gymnasium (Gold's Gym) and health centre, the highlight of which is a 21 meter (6m wide) indoor swimming pool. It also has a sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, aerobics studio and offers massages and beauty treatments. The large gym is equipped with a range of cardio machines and free weights.

Meeting facilities are available in the Bentley Suite which can host up to 20 guests and comes with facilities such as A/V equipment and flip charts.
Hotels public areas are air-conditioned. The reception remains open 24/7.
