The town of Kingston has a place in history as the ancient market town where Saxon Kings (5th century till 11th centuries) were crowned. This location is particularly useful for connections to Gatwick Airport which is accessed via the A243 or A240 and the M25/M23 motorways with a journey time of around 30 minutes by road. Its also around the same time to get into central London (45 minutes by train) or Heathrow Airport. The nearby Kingston Station has two direct bus services to Heathrow airport. Kingston itself has much to offer with the major attraction of Hampton Court Palace just 1.5 miles from the hotel where 500 of years of Royal history is on show to the public. Just under 4 miles from the hotel is Chessington World of Adventures where its combination of theme rides, fun park and zoo make it must visit for families. Other local places of interest include Tolworth Recreation Centre (2.2 miles), Orleans House Art Gallery (2.9 miles), York House and Gardens (3.1 miles), Marble Hill House (3.1 miles), Sandown Racecourse (3.2 miles) and Kempton Racecourse (3.9 miles). Eden Walk and Bentalls shopping centres (includes bowling alley, gym and multi screen cinema) within half a mile.
