Introduction: Located on the Southern edge of Finchley is
the Holiday Inn Express Golders Green North. Construction began in summer 2006
with the hotel opening in the summer of 2007. Despite its name this hotel is on
the very southern edge of Finchley, hence the N3 postcode.
The hotel is on the former site of a local landmark pub, previously known as
'Goldie's' and before that as the 'Golden Eagle'. Situated right on the junction
(known as Henlys Corner after the car sales showroom that used to be located
there) with the A406 North Circular Road, the A598 Finchley Road and the A1
Great North Way/Falloden Way. This means you have road access around greater
London as well as connections to the M11, M1, M2 and M25 motorways. Opposite the
hotel on Regents Park Road is 'College Farm' which is open to the general public
and where you can see cows, horses, chickens and more in a central London
setting. Just North of the hotel are local shops including restaurants, pub and
convenience food shops. To the south and on the opposite side of the North
Circular is the start of Finchley Road. This is a long main road that runs for
some 5 miles down to Swiss Cottage and along almost the whole length are shops
of all types, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and more in the way of local
amenities. The immediate area surrounding the hotel is very much middle class
residential and is a sought after area to live. Yards from the hotel is the "
La
Delivrance" war memorial more often referred to as the 'Naked Lady', which
is exactly what the statue depicts! Also opposite is the Kinloss (Finchley
United) Synagogue. The major shopping mall of
Brent Cross
is 1.4 miles to the West. Other nearby places of interest include the London
Museum of Jewish Life (0.6 miles), Church Farmhouse Museum (1.2 miles),
RAF Museum
(1.8 miles),
Kenwood House (1.9 miles) and
Hampstead Museum and Burgh House (2.5 miles).

The bedrooms are en-suite (with power shower) and all have individually
controlled air conditioning. In-room amenities include hairdryer, satellite TV,
coffee/tea facilities, radio, WiFi high speed internet access, desk and lamp,

open.

A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning which includes a Kosher
option. The buffet has pastries & breads, cereals, fruit, cheeses, hot & cold
beverages. The restaurant also serves a three course dinner Monday till
Thursday.
Breakfast served 06.300 till 10.30 (weekends and Bank Holidays 07.00 till
11.00). Dinner served 18.30 till 21.30 (not Friday of weekends).
There is an un-staffed business centre where you will find an internet
connection along copy, fax and email access.
