Introduction: Perfectly located
for Euston mainline railway station which is just 150 yards (3
minutes walk) from the Mic Hotel and Conference Centre.
The
International terminal of St Pancras is also just half a mile
further down the Euston Road. Just on the very northern edge of what
would be considered central London and just over 1 mile from the
very heart of London around Piccadilly Circus. The area of Euston
itself is somewhat down market compared to the glitzy tourist areas
in other districts and reflects its transient nature. Euston Road
has a number of smaller type shops but major shopping and amenities
can be found less than a mile to the north along
Camden High Street. There are restaurants in the surrounding
areas. Even closer (less than half a mile) on the south side of
Euston Road is Tottenham Court Road. This has become a one of the
capitals biggest areas for electrical and entertainment items, often
at huge discounts. As you get closer to the the southern of
Tottenham Court Road you hit the West End itself and here you will
find the start of the bars and theatres that makeup the main night
life areas. Another big plus for the hotel is being walking distance
(0.4 miles) from
Regents Park. This is a large open area that includes London Zoo
and an open air theatre. Other local places of interest include the
Petrie Egyptian Archaeology Museum, British Library (0.4 miles),
House of Homosexual Culture (16 Chenies Street) (0.4 miles),
Pollocks Toy Museum (1 Scala Street, W1T 2HL) (0.5 miles) and the
British Museum (0.8 miles).
