Vicinity: First opened in July 2009 the Quality Maitrise
Maida Vale hotel sits at the southern end of Kilburn High Road on the border
with Maida Vale. Kilburn High Road is a busy shopping high high street with a
good range of small to medium sized shops with bras and restaurants. The area is
particularly well known for its large Irish population with many Irish bars in
the nearby vicinity. From here the M1 is easily accessible just 2.8 miles
straight up the A5 (the road the hotel is on). The start of the M1 is also where
you will find major shopping mall of
Brent Cross
which is dubbed north London's west end.
Heathrow Airport is also
easily accessible from here with the A406 North Circular Road also liked at the
start of the M1. This is the north London orbital road and links with the
A40/A312 or A4/M4 for Heathrow airport. 0.7 miles to the south finds the famous
Abbey Road studios where the Beatles made some of their biggest selling records.
Less than a mile on the Finchley Road which is north east of the hotel is the
big O2 complex with bars, cinemas and supermarkets. Finchley is also a busy
shopping high road and far more varies than Kilburn High Road. There's a
Sainsburys supermarket 250 yards from the Quality Maitrise hotel along the
Kilburn High Road.
Other local places of interest include the Tricycle Theatre (0l.5 miles),
Hampstead Theatre (0.9 miles), Freud Museum (1 mile), MCC Museum and Lords
Cricket Ground (1 mile), Regents Park (1.2 miles), Church Street Market (1.3
miles), Portobello market (1.5 miles) and London Zoo (1.5 miles).
