Days Inn South Mimms

Introduction: Located actually within the Welcome Break service area on the M25 at junction 23 is the Days Inn South Mimms hotel. The service area was the first one on the M25 is centred around a covered building which houses fast food restaurants, phones, cash machines, play area and newsagent (magazines newspapers, sweets) shop. There's also a petrol station which itself has a small shop. While the service area is self contained and provides a range of amenities, outside of this there's nothing else within walking distance. The M25 motorway encircles London and so gives good access to all outer areas without the need for driving through central London. However should you need to get into the central areas the hotel is also close to the A1 dual carriageway that will take all the way to the City of London. The M25 also links with the M11 motorway (for Stansted airport), M1 motorway (for Luton airport), M4 (for Heathrow Airport) and M23 motorway (for Gatwick airport). South Mimms itself is a village in Hertsmere with a population of less than 1000 and an area popular for mountain biking thanks for to the local cycle routes. Nearest local attractions include Wyllyots Museum (1.3 miles), Barnet Museum (2.5 miles), De Havilland Aircraft Museum (2.7 miles), Borehamwood Shopping Park (3.3 miles) and the RAF Museum (6.2 miles).
