Location: The Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo sits on
Waterloo Road
less than 400 yards from Waterloo Station. One of the busiest
stations in greater London with routes out to all parts of the country as well
as being on the tube network and serving central London. This places the hotel
on the south side of the River Thames but within half a mile of 3 bridges
linking to the north side, Waterloo, Westminster and Blackfriars bridges. This
particular area has become very popular for new build purpose built branded
budget hotels as there have been a lot of old office blocks looking for a new
use as companies have left the area. Big chains such as
Ibis, H10,
Novotel,
Travelodge
and Tunes have taken advantage of the opportunity for build large purpose built
new hotels. Its a great location because it gibes easy access to all parts of
central London including the financial district of the City of London. With
Waterloo station so close transport links further out are great too. That is not
to say you have any need to travel, many popular attractions are close by such
as the Old Vic Theatre (0.08 miles), Imperial war Museum (0.3 miles), London Eye
(0.4 miles) and the Tate Modern (0.5 miles). Its less than half a mile from the
South bank centre which is home to the Hayward Gallery, Royal Festival Hall and
National Theatre.

Waterloo is a franchise agreement between Shiva Hotels ( in partnership with
subsidiary company Rising Star LLP) and Hilton.
Planning permission was granted by Lambeth council in January 2009.
The hotel stands on the former location of Partnership house, a 1.5 acre site, which was
demolished to make way for the hotel. Partnership housed the home of the
Anglican community,
Headquarters of the United Society
for the Propagation of the Gospel, otherwise known as the USPG and
several other church bodies.
