Introduction: The Ibis London Blackfriars is 0.3 miles south of Blackfriars Bridge.
This makes it
accessible to both central London and the City of London (square mile, financial
district) using Waterloo and Southwark bridges. However the immediate
surrounding are has plenty to offer with the Southbank within walking distance
(0.2 miles) where you will find the national Gallery, Haywards Theatre, Royal

The Ibis Blackfriars is part of the same development as the
Novotel Blackfriars, both
Accor hotels. The site was formerly used
for an office block but was was bought by Irish developers McAleer & Rushe
in 2007 for £25 million pounds. During 2010/12 the site has been redeveloped to
create a twin hotel designed by HKR Architects.
