Introduction: The Luna and Simone
Hotel is located midway between Pimlico and Victoria. There are a
large number of bed and breakfast hotels within this relatively
small area which are made up from converted terraced houses. Pimlico
itself is a mainly residential area with a large number of
apartments/flats from what were originally single residences. Its
location is right at the start of what would be considered central
London proper while being out of the main central areas such as the
west end where room rates attract a premium because of the area. It
is also served by the tube stop of Pimlico and the mainline railway
Station of Victoria from where trains run to locations all over
Britain. It also is the start point for the Gatwick Express, which
runs non-stop to Gatwick Airport. The hotel is less than half a
miles walk to the River Thames which is to the south of the Hotel.
The River makes for a pleasant walk along its banks, much of which
has dedicated walking paths, there are places to stop and sit and
watch the passing ships on this busy river. You can also catch a
river bus (nearest stop Millbank Pier). For local type shops there
are many on the surrounding roads such as Lupus Street, Vauxhall
Bridge Road and Warwick Way, including bars and restaurants. Closest
major shopping streets are Victoria Street (0.4 miles) to the east
and
Kings Road, Chelsea (0.8 miles) to the west. The majority of
London's attractions are located to the east of the hotel with
nearest including Westminster Cathedral (0.3 miles),
Tate Britain (0.5 miles),
Queens Gallery (0.6 miles), St James's Park (0.7 miles),
Buckingham Palace (0.7 miles), Guards Museum (0.7 miles) and
Jewel Tower (0.8 miles).

The hotel is family run and the family atmosphere runs throughout
the hotel. The hotel is served by the number 24 bus which stops just
outside the hotel and goes into Victoria and central London. The
Luna & Simone hotel has proved one of the most popular hotels in the
area over the past years for its combination of cleanliness,
atmosphere and value for money.
Bedrooms are double glazed and furnished with pale wood furniture.
They come with satellite television, hairdryer, tea/coffee tray and
safety deposit box. All rooms (except for the two single rooms) have
a separate tiled bathroom with powerful shower and toilet. Some
rooms have a balcony.
Room configurations include singles, doubles, twins, trips and
quads. Daily maid service.
The hotel a breakfast room where a home cooked English breakfast is
served daily between 07.00 and 08.30.
WiFi internet access can be picked up on the ground and first floor.
There is also an internet room with a computer and complimentary
internet access on the ground floor open 07.00 till 23.00. The hotel
provides luggage storage facilities (not long term). Iron available
from reception.
