Street the Intercontinental London Westminster Hotel enjoys a location in
the very heart of tourist London. Minutes from St James's Park tube (Circle
and District lines) providing excellent transport links to all areas of
London. Victoria Street has a lot of High street amenities with shops, bars
and restaurants. Its eastern end leads down to Parliament Square (0.3 miles)
where you will find the seat of the UK government, The House of Commons and
the House of Lords. Towards the western end of Victoria Street is
Westminster Cathedral. Less than 300 yards north of the Intercontinental is
St James's Park which forms part of the grounds of Buckingham Palace (the
residence of the reigning monarch). The Palace itself is 0.4 miles away
while the grounds are home to several attractions such as the Guards Museum
(0.2 miles) and the Cabinet War Rooms and Churchill Museum (0.4 miles).

Chambers which was originally contracted in the 1800's. Before the hotel
construction it was a 120,000 square foot retail

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) signed a 20 year management contract with Splendid Hotel Group
in October 2007 for the running of the hotel.
