Exhibition centre is the City Continental Kensington Hotel. Even closer is the
(2 minutes walk) Earls Court Tube station which gives access both to central
London and out to Heathrow Airport. Indeed west London's other major exhibition
centre at Olympia is less than a mile from the hotel. This particular section of
central London is very popular for mid-range/budget priced accommodation thanks
to its good transport links and plentiful amenities including shops, bars and
supermarkets. Just to the west of the most central areas but very close to major
shopping destinations such as Kensington, South Kensington, Chelsea and
Knightsbridge. The nearest shopping is to be found on the adjacent Earls Court
Road, although the more fashionable areas are a little further on. Local places
of interest include the
Dr Who Tardis
(0.1 miles),
Linley Sambourne House (0.7 miles),
Leighton house museum (0.7 miles) and the
Natural History and
Science
museums (0.8 miles).
