Introduction: The Doubletree by Hilton Westminster London is within what would be classed as central London and sits almost opposite the River Thames. The Thames makes for some great walks along its bank with dedicated walkways along much of its length. Nearby major shopping restaurants and pubs can be found on Victoria Street less than half a mile to the north while more local type amenities are in the surrounding vicinity notably along Vauxhall bridge Road and away. Some of the best known area such as London's theatreland are best accessed by public transport being just over a mile from the hotel. A very short walk from the hotel is the Tate Britain art gallery (0.21 miles) and just a little further in the other direction is Parliament Square (0.41 miles) home to the Houses of Parliament, House of Lords and Westminster Abbey. Other nearby attractions include the London Aquarium (0.64 miles), London Eye (Millennium Wheel) (0.77 miles), Buckingham Palace (0.81 miles), Trafalgar Square (0.91 miles), Cabinet War Rooms (0.58 miles) and Queens Gallery (0.79 miles).
