Introduction: The Bingham Hotel Richmiond upon Thames is
located to the south west of central London alongside the River Thames and
close to the town centre of Richmond. Convenient for Kew Gardens which is 2
miles to the north. The hotel is close to Richmond Park (0.4 miles) with
over 2000 acres of open land including a wild heard of deer. The hotel is
adjacent to a small area of open park and there's also a slightly larger
park area within 150 yards called Terrace Gardens. Wimbledon tennis
championships is within 4 miles. Twickenham Rugby ground is even closer at
1.5 miles. Very close to Richmond Bridge giving accessibility to area such
as Hounslow and Heathrow Airport. Richmond Tube is half a mile away and can
be walked in 15 minutes. The London Wetland Centre is just over 3 miles form
the hotel by Barnes Common and the 42 hectare site is the best urban wildlife
site in Europe.

Bliss range. These rooms also off river views and benefit from the
additional indulgence of Whirlpool baths. Two rooms boast antique four
poster bed.
A major aspect to the Bingham Hotel is its 40 seat Michelin
starred
restaurant. An elegant and chic setting serving British cuisine. Lunch and
dinner include a La Carte options and set menu options also for lunch. The
restaurant also serves breakfast. The menu makes use of the finest locally sourced ingredients.
There is an extensive cheese counter, fine wine list and a heated balcony
seats 20 for alfresco dining on warmer nights. The wine list comprises of Old
and New World bins, focusing predominantly on 'boutique' winemakers and fine
champagnes. Afternoon tea also served.
Breakfast served 7.00 till 10.00 (from 08.00 weekends). Lunch noon till
14.30 (Sunday noon till 16.00), Afternoon tea 15.30 till 17.30 (Sunday 16.00
till 18.00), Dinner 19.00 till 22.00 (last orders).
The restaurant also
incorporates a cocktail bar. Features expansive mirrors, a hand blown glass
chandelier and contemporary twists including a silver leafed ceiling. Open
late for Bingham members and 24 hours for hotel residents. Serves hot drinks
alongside the full selection of winds, spirits and beers. There is also an
all-day bar menu.
The hotel reception is open to guests 24/7. Luggage

History: The Bingham was originally two Georgian houses. Lady Ann Bingham lived here
under a lease arrangement in 1821 and during her stay added the room that became the Bingham's Bar.
Other former residents have included poets Katherine Harris Bradley and
Edith Emma Cooper who wrote under the pseudonym Michael Field in 1899.
Bought by Ruth and Bill Trinder in 1984 who then ran the building as a bed
and breakfast hotel. Current owners are Samantha Trinder and Isidor Gorgevik.
