| Description: The Astor Court
Hotel is located within walking distance of Oxford Street in central London. The
hotel is located within the area known locally as Fitzrovia just North of Oxford
Street which is one of London's busiest and most popular shopping areas catering
for a broad spectrum of shoppers. Regent Street which crosses with Oxofrd Street
at Oxford Circus is another hugely poplar and bustling shopping area with
restaurants and bars. At the south end of Regent Street is Piccadilly Circus.
Well located for all the central areas such as Soho and Theatreland. Hallam
Street is a relatively quiet side street although it is used for through traffic
from the surrounding very busy areas such as regent Street. Nearest attractions
include the Wallace Collection (0.45 miles), Petrie Egyptian Archaeology Museum
(0.5 miles), Madame Tussuads (0.5 miles), British Museum (0.8 miles) and the
Trocodero Centre (0.8 miles). A Victorian style grade II listed building, the hotel was built in 1956. The Astor Court was once a gentleman's club. All bedrooms include en-suite facilities, direct dial telephone, trouser press, wireless internet connection, safe, satellite TV/radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Apartments have a lounge, separate bedroom (not studios) and fully fitted kitchen. Daily housekeeping. The front reception is manned 24 hours a day. The hotel serves breakfast in the restaurant each morning and offers a porter service. The dining room also doubles as a 12 man capacity meeting room between 11.00 and 19.00. All floors can be accessed by lift and there's a guest laundry service. Hotel provides internet access. L.A Fitness Club opposite the hotel. |
