Introduction: The Le Meridien Piccadilly is a five star luxury hotel
that first opened in May 1908
(as the Piccadilly Hotel) and situated right in the heart of
London's West End. An ideal location for both business and leisure
guests. The hotel stands proudly yards from the world famous
Piccadilly Circus, and a stroll away from attractions such as
Buckingham Palace (0.6 miles) and
Trafalgar Square (0.3 miles) (pedestrianised for easier access). The hotel
actually stands right at the far East end of Piccadilly itself which
is home to many famous landmarks, shops and bars such as the
Fortnum and Mason department store. Adjacent to the area that
has become known as theatreland, an area that takes in
Covent
Garden,
Soho (0.3 miles) and the area just south of Oxford Street
alongside Regents Street. To the immediate North West of the Le Meridien
Piccadilly hotel
and parallel with the north side of Piccadilly is one of the UK's
most prestigious residential areas, Mayfair. The area just on the
other side of Piccadilly is St James's Park, another upmarket
residential area. Regent Street is just yards from the hotel, one of
the most famous roads in London and full of shops, boutiques, bars,
restaurants and other amenities. Green Park is less than half a mile
from the hotel along Piccadilly and makes up part of the grounds of
Buckingham Palace. Piccadilly is actually the end of the A4 dual
main road, which is the main road into and out of London to the
West. This makes access from Heathrow very easy since the M4 merges
into the A4 which makes for a direct line on a single road all the
way from the airport to the Hotel if travelling in by road.
