Introduction: The Travelodge Watford Central Hotel is
located, as the name suggests, in the heart of Watford. This is a large town of
over 80,000 residents with a host of amenities. The central shopping area is
around the High Street and surrounds a large covered shopping centre called the
Harlequin which is home to over 140 shops and restaurants. The centre is just
300 yards from the hotel. The High Street is also very much the place for
nightlife with its large number of bars and restaurants. There are also 3
theatres within half a mile of the hotel. For some background on the local area
try a visit to the Watford Museum which is 1/3rd of mile from here on Lower High
Street. Transport links are excellent with the M1 motorway being less than 2
miles away (leads into North London or to the North of England) and the M25
London orbital motorway is less than 3 miles way and gives access to all areas
of outer London.
