Introduction: A spectacular location sets the Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs Hotel apart. The hotel occupies what used to be the Old Paddock area and is surrounded by 600 of open grounds which includes Epsom racecourse itself. The Queens stand is a just a short stroll form here. This is of course the place where the Epsom derby takes place each June, the championship race for thoroughbred 3 year olds. As well as the Derby meeting there are 14 other race meets per year. The course is also notable for the fastest 5 furlong course in the world thanks to the downhill run. The sports links don't end there, the hotel is also between two golf courses, Epsom golf course and the RAC Country Club Golf Course. 10 more golf courses within 3 miles. The Epsom high street is just over 1 mile to the north where a good range of amenities are located. less than 3 miles from the M25 motorway at junction 9. The M25 gives easy access to the M23 which leads down to Gatwick Airport which is 11.4 miles from here when measured in a straight line. Heathrow Airport is also easily accessed using the M25/M4 and is 13.8 miles away in a straight line. Other local attractions include Bourne Hall Museum (5000 exhibits on the history of the local area) (2.5 miles). The major attraction of Chessington World of Adventures is just 3.5 north west of the hotel.

Newly built and opened in September 2008 the Holiday Inn Express Epsom is a modern contemporary style hotel.
The bright and airy rooms feature comfort cooling, Individually Controlled Air Conditioning, direct dial phone, tea and coffee making facilities, interactive satellite flat screen television with PPV movies, hair dryer, broadband internet access and desk space with working lamp. Secure key card locks on door. Each bedroom has its own bathroom facilities which includes a power shower and essential toiletries.
Room options include family rooms with a double bed and a sofa bed suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. There are 6 bedrooms specially adapted for improved accessibility.
All bedrooms are no-smoking. Connecting rooms available. Iron and ironing can be borrowed from reception. Daily housekeeping.

Dining:
As with all hotels within this chain the dining area is named the Great Room. With a contemporary style and where a complimentary continental and hot breakfast is served each morning (including coffee and pastries). This is actually also the bar and lounge area. Not only serving a full range of drinks but also offering a bar menu including fresh hot food all day (Monday till Thursday evenings).
Breakfast: 06.30 till 09.30 (Weekends 07.00 till 10.30).
Immediately opposite the hotel is the 'Rubbing House Public House', a pub which also serves lunch and dinner along side real ale and has an outside seating area. Meals can be
light bar snacks or a la carte table service.
