East Ham Nature Reserve provides a contrast to the bust urban area that surrounds it and the A13 road which runs along side it. It covers an area of 10 acres set in the churchyard of St Mary Magdalene Church that dates back 800 years. A nature reserve since 1977 and home to a diverse number of local wildlife and plant species. The Church itself can only be viewed by appointment. There are three numbered nature trails which are plentiful with local wildlife such as foxes, owls and kestrels.
Schools can take advantage of both indoor and outdoor environments supporting many areas of the National Curriculum. There is a 30-seat classroom that can be booked for school .

Monday - CLOSED
Tuesday-Friday - 10am-5pm (summer)/10am-4pm (winter)
Saturday/Sunday - 2-5pm (summer)/1-4pm (winter)

Accessibility:
Disabled access to ground floor of visitor centre (shop, displays, handling table, toilets). Disabled Badge holders - parking by main gate in Norman Road. Wheelchair trail raised outdoor displays. guide dogs for the blind welcome (other dogs strictly prohibited).
