The Handel House Museum is the former Georgian house residence of the baroque composer George Frideric Handel. He lived here from 1723 till he died on 14th April 1759. From this house Handel composed some of the greatest music in history including Messiah, Zadok the Priest and Music for the Royal. The home has been restored and is now a showcase for Handel's life as well as 18th century culture and music. Live music is also played here in Handels music room. The museum also incorporates number 23 Brook Street (next door) which is where Jimi Hendrix lived in 1968-69. The Handel House Museum also has a small photographic exhibition of Jimi Hendrix. Opening hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10am - 6pm Thursday 10am - 8pm Sunday 12pm - 6pm Closed Mondays, including bank holidays. Last admissions half an hour before closing.
