Sir John Soane, R.A., was an architect  was born in 1753, the son of a bricklayer, and died after a long and distinguished career, in 1837. The museum is a house designed by him and where he lived with his family. The house and museum now  his antiquities and his works of art. Collections and exhibitions here are continually changing.

Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm
Also on the first Tuesday evening of each month, 6-9 pm.
 Closed Sunday, Monday, Bank Holidays and Christmas Eve.
