Dr Who TardisADDRESS: Earls Court Road SW5 nearest train station: There was a time when London was dotted with Police Boxes
like the one above. However with the advent of the police radio the need for
a telephone system has long since gone. In their day both police officers
and members of the public could use the telephone inside which was linked
directly to the local police station. This is the last remaining police box
of the type used by and Dr Who's and known as the Tardis. The Tardis was a
time travelling machine used by Dr Who in the long running BBC TV series.
The Tardis was huge on the inside despite looking like a simple police box
from the outside. |
