TRANSFER TO GATWICK AIRPORT

How to get from Luton Airport to Gatwick Airport:

Train:
Luton airport is not directly served by a station. The nearest station is Luton Airport Parkway. Once at the station you are transferred by the free Luton Airport Express Shuttlebus to the airport. The shuttlebus stops almost outside the terminal building at Luton as the coach terminus area is located adjacent to the terminal. Transfer takes around 10 minutes.

First Capital Connect (now run the Thameslink services)
Thameslink operate a direct service between Luton Airport Parkway and Gatwick Airport.

Trains run up to every 15 minutes at peak during the day and half hourly/hourly off peak. Service is near 24 hours.

Coach:
National Express operate two routes between Luton and Gatwick Airports. These run from 01.40 till 23.35. Service intervals are between every 100-120 minutes. Each of the below routes have an onboard WC.
230 - Luton Bus Terminal > Heathrow Central Bus Station > Heathrow Terminal 4 > Gatwick North > Gatwick South
707 - Luton Bus Terminal > Hemel Hempstead > Heathrow Central Bus Station > Heathrow Terminal 4 > Gatwick North > Gatwick South

The ride takes around 135-160 minutes. Cost is from £20 one-way adult fare.

Road:
Travel by road is best travelled via the M25. On leaving Leaving follow the signs follow for the M1 motorway South towards London. Once on the M1 you will stay on this motorway for some 12 miles. Come off at the M25 Anti-clockwise section and towards Heathrow and the M4. Stay on the M25 for around 49 miles and come off at the M23 South bound towards bright and Gatwick Airport. Stay on the M23 for around 10 miles until you see the sign for Gatwick Airport.

Expect your journey by car/taxi/minicab to take 65-120 minutes.
Expect your coach journey to Luton Airport to take 135-160 minutes.
Expect your Train + Shuttlebus ride to take 90-95 minutes
