How to get from Luton Airport to Heathrow Airport:
The best option for most people is National Express Coach which is a
straight airport to airport journey unlike the other options. It
compares favourably to the train options in both the cost and the time so
unless you want to go via central London this is your best option for
transfers between Heathrow Airport and Luton Airport. its really easy to find
the coach as the bus stops at Luton airports are right in front of the terminal
and cars are not allowed in this part of the airport grounds.
Coach Option
National Express run services between
Luton Airport and Heathrow (all four terminals). Services at the Luton Bus Station in Luton itself
before arriving at the airport itself. Operates from about 01.45 till around
23.45 and this
is a mostly hourly service. All coaches have an onboard WC. These are
not dedicated buses for this route but they take in this journey as part
of much longer routes.
This service operates from terminals 4 and 5 and from the central bus station.
Routes:
707 Pickup is from outside Luton Airport terminal > Hemel Hempstead bus station
> Heathrow Central bus station (for terminals 2 and 3) > terminal 5 > terminal 4
Note
that the same National Express Luton Airport to Heathrow Airport bus then goes onto Gatwick Airport.
The route taken as for all the London airport connections is via the M25 which
means delays are always possible. Traffic is heaviest in the mornings going to
Heathrow which is an anti-clockwise journey on the orbital M25 motorway.
Expect your journey to take around 65 to 115
minutes. Cost is around
from £20 (single), £40 (return) for a standard single fare.
