| Rated 5 out of 5 : The location was perfect. The hotel is new and clean. Decent fitness centre as well is a plus. Free drinks and snacks in the mini bar is also a plus. Breakfast was very nice. My ONLY complaint is that they didn't get my breakfast in time on my last day and I had to leave for the airport without it. But to be fair I didn't give them more than 30 minutes notice. Location was absolutely perfect. Rated 5 out of 5 : The Andaz is a stylish and thoroughly modern hotel right next to Liverpool Street Station that manages to deliver a relaxed atmosphere and level of individuality and quality rarely found in either specialty, boutique or premium hotel chains. The basics were done well - our room was clean, the king size bed comfortable, the bathroom nicely renovated and functional, decent LCD TV with a good ranges of channels available. There was also a number of nice touches ? trendy design and fittings, complimentary treats in the mini bar (cookies, still & sparkling mineral water, juice etc), free wireless internet, foreign plug adapters, slippers. Only criticism we had was our room was a little on the small side. We stayed 2 nights and were well pleased with our choice! Would not hesitate to recommend for either business or city break. Rated 5 out of 5 : The building : Very interesting building. It is a heritage structure which has been completely converted from the inside. Location : Excellent. A stone's throw from the Liverpool Station and near Bishopsgate. Both business and personal work can be accomplished very easily. Rooms : very well appointed rooms, though not very large. Good lighting. Bathrooms are great. Restaurants : Breakfast at 1901 is fantastic! As it is at street level, you can see the world go by. Service : My stay was made memorable by the excellent personalised service from both the front office personnel and the restaurant staff. Rated 4.5 out of 5 : Travelled down by train very relaxing, tube to Liverpool St and hotel on the door step. The hotel was very impressive staff very good and the room was fantastic, very luxurious, juices and water in the mini fridge, toiletries lovely, iPod player, flat screen tv fab queen bed, pillows lovely. Dressing gowns, slippers. Couldn't fault anything. Tea coffee and wine available in reception. It was great having the tube staion literally next door. We were there the weekend of the Olympic concert and travelled to St James park, walked up the mall to the palace, it was a beautiful day and we sat on the grass watching the concert. We were booked for a concert in the evening which was fantastic. Back to hotel and had an early flight home from Stansted. We had room service for breakfast as we had to leave at 6 am, this was on time and lovely. All in all a great hotel, and a great weekend. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The only thing I would say is the bar was not open as it is in the financial district and obviously there is not much going on on a Sunday so they must close. Rated 4.5 out of 5 : Very welcoming, the open plan reception a bit confusing at first as no one was around when we arrived and there is no "reception" sign however once we realised the set up the staff were very helpful. My only complaint during the whole experience would be the very noisy plumbing, which in our own room was extremely noisy but unfortunately the sound would emanate from other rooms during the night. |
