Rated 5 out of 5:
The room was lovely - very spacious - with an enormous bed, all very comfortable. On arrival we were immediately offered an upgrade and discounted breakfast which was very good. We were going to the Medieval Banqueting Rooms in St Katherine's Dock which was just 5 minutes' walk.
Being picky....we were given a menu for breakfast which was a bit ambiguous as we had already been told what we could order. It would have been easier if we had just been served with this! Also the tea was very weak by English standards.

We stayed in the Apex City of London hotel. The service provided by the hotel was faultless. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Breakfast was also really nice. The location of the hotel was excellent just a short 3-4 minute walk from Tower hill tube station. There were a few bars and restaurants nearby which was good- Pizza Express, Wetherspoons, Strada, Cafe Rouge and Bar One just a few minutes walk away.

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
Very comfortable room - quiet and lots space. Bed very comfortable and room well kitted. Handy for walking to tube Tower Hill and buses to West End. 2 Mins walk to Tower of London and River Thames. Overall good value accommodation and would stay again. Would not recommend paying for the breakfast - its ok but not worth it. Weatherspoons within a stones throw better value for food.

Stayed here for one night for my Birthday. Reception staff very helpful - advised us of tube closures that day, and alternative routes. Also checked us into our room early, without us even asking. Room was very nice, clean and modern. Bathroom was amazing, with a great shower room, and speakers so that you could hear the TV from the bedroom!! Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The weather was ridiculously warm, which did spoil one of our days in London a bit, as we were shopping - so it was a bit unbearable, so it was even more welcoming to return to our hotel. It was really quiet in our room, and we heard no noise from any other rooms or corridors, and had an amazing nights sleep. Can't fault this hotel at all. They took a £25 deposit from my card on arrival, in case we used anything in the room, which we didn't and they said that this money would be refunded back, although not until Tuesday, with it being a Bank Holiday. Am trusting them on this - but I'm sure it will be fine. Overall - a very nice hotel, with great transport links to the rest of London - would defo recommend.
