Very well decorated and great location for touring London. About 2 blocks from Underground at Gloucester Street. Nightly champagne served to all guests. Rooms come off as more "luxury" with antique furniture. Had a very nice tub/shower combo. But unlike most in England, the tub was a full size with both hand held shower head and wall mounted. Water got very hot in hotel - never ran cold. This hotel is located in the same blocks as Crowne Plaza, Marriot, and a Best Western.
Rooms are smaller but laid out well so you don't notice. They have huge closets (comparatively). Breakfast area is small but nicely adorned.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was on the small side but excellently appointed with antique furniture etc. We had bathrobes and slippers, plenty of toiletries and the usual tea/coffee and bottled water. The dining room is only small which means you sometimes have to wait at busy periods, but the food is excellent and there is a very good choice. The staff are really friendly and although we missed this both nights guests receive complimentary champagne between 7pm and 8pm

Very well equipped smallish hotel in ideal location - very convenient for Albert Hall, Hyde Park, Knightsbridge etc. Rooms very well furnished, and nice touches like complementary bottled water and glass of champagne. Very friendly staff; good breakfast too. Excellent place to stay in the capital

A guest of the Ashburn Hotel rated it 4.9 out of 5 and said they liked the standard of furnishings and helpfulness and courtesy of staff and it was a very good and comfortable experience
