| Rated 5 out of 5 : My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Athenaeum Hotel earlier this year. It is a 5 star hotel with 100 star friendliness. From the moment we arrived and were greeted at the door we knew we were going to have a lovely time. What was especially lovely is although it is a top class hotel in London there was no snootiness. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were made to feel special and we felt so at home and relaxed. The apartment was superb and I wanted to take my bed home with me as it was so comfortable! a special thank you to Paola the reception manager. A real jewel in the crown and what a great ambassador for the hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and breakfast on the Sunday morning. When you stay please book a table. The food superb and the staff friendly. They had a good sense of humour so we had a very entertaining time. We are going to make a return visit early in the New Year. When you are in London this is the place to stay. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. But please leave a room for us. Thank you Athenaeum for your lovely warm atmosphere. Lilian Michael Newport Gwent Rated 5 out of 5 : We booked as a secret hotel deal online and were very impressed with the hotel. Staff were helpful, warm but still professional. Loved the free snacks, soft drinks, bathroom products and copious amount of huge pillows. Not the largest room or bathroom and would have liked a bigger bath tub but you do get to stay in a great location. Some lovely touches in the finish make this place funky but not in your face. Have already recommended to friends for weekend breaks. Rated 4.6 out of 5 : Liked: Beautiful classy room. Nice bottle of champagne to welcome us. Disliked: The alarms were tested early in the morning without warning. We were both asleep and it was very frightening. PLEASE warn your guests in advance in future. Rated 5 out of 5 : I can not sing the praises of this Hotel high enough, their attention to detail was amazing. It started as we approached the enterance, the doorman asked our name and already had us on a list, which when you have booked online through a website is such a reassuring thing. The staff were outstanding and as we had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary we were given a lovely upgrade and a beautiful card, and at literally no extra cost. The hotel itself was outstandingly situated for London and the concierge service was brilliant.. If you want a treat do not hesitate to book this hotel. |
