| Rated 4.6 out of 5: It was very near the tube station, and i was carrying luggage. I had looked it up on street map, and when we got there, there was no prominent sign to say it was the hotel. (it was pouring with rain at the time) The rooms were good, with all facilities, the bed was comfy with good bed linen. The bathroom was well equipped. I found it hard to find my room, carrying a big bag - up and down stairs. The floors were a bit creaky, but I use ear plugs, so no problem. Rated 5 out of 5: The hotel was very clean, although decorations were a bit jaded and could do with a refurb. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was plentiful and the food very fresh and tasty. The twin bedroom was enormous with two huge beds. The bathroom was a good size and the power shower was brilliant. Can definitely recommend this hotel as good value for money. Not far from the main street and near to buses and earls court tube station, without hearing any of the traffic noise. We went to the royal Albert hall to see madam butterfly and it was a fantastic show. The imperial war museum and cabinet war rooms were very interesting and well worth the visit. Dinner at the Ritz was everything one could imagine - would definitely love to do this again. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Good location for the 2 main exhibition centres in London. Good value for money and very well placed for dining out. Rooms are basic and a bit dated but this was only £90 a night. No A/c and small bathroom but it all worked although having a 5 channel TV meant you didn't have any excuses not to visit the local pubs! Rated 4 out of 5: I stayed 2 nights this February half term, Monday - Wednesday. Reading some reviews i was a little apprehensive but everything was fine! Arrived about midday one ish, so before the check in time, but there were no problems as the room was already ready for us meaning we could put our cases away and get going. Check out was equally as helpful, as our train was at 8 and they looked after our cases for us so we didn't have to lug them around on our last day. The room wasn't that nice to look at, but it was clean which is the main thing, had a working tv and a kettle and was spacious. The staff were very pleasant and I got the impression they would be helpful if we needed to approach them with any issues. The free continental breakfast was average and did it's job, and the toast was actually really really good (an odd thing to pick up on i know). Floorboards were creaky and you could hear them when you stood on them, but i never heard them creaking from any other rooms and was never disturbed by any outside noise and had a decent nights sleep both nights. I'd recommend this hotel if you're wanting to go sightseeing and aren't going to be spending a lot of time in your room, and need a clean and convenient place to crash. |

| Rating out of 10: 4 Date stayed: January 2009 review: It is a very noisy hotel on the streetside. The clients are mostly young and make noise at night. Breakfast is poor without eggs and the fruitjuices are more chemical than natural. Attantion for your billpayment. The hotel changes the pounds into euro and they charge you for that. In this way I lost over 20 Pounds. Those fine english hotelmanagers!!! I never go there again. |
