| Rated 4.5 out of 5: Location was excellent. Short walk to Victoria Station. Breakfast was good but they didn't have bacon. Very busy hotel so make sure you get up nice and early for breakfast. Customer service was great! Front staff were always willing to help in any way possible. We even got to check in early before the check in time. Air con. was in the room but you had to pay for it depending on how much you used.. We just opened the windows which worked fine. There was a disagreement between some other guests and the front staff and the man at the front desk wasn't very patient with her. However, his boss came and made the employee apologize to the guest and everything was solved professionally. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Warm welcome from very helpful staff. Rooms small (but then, most London Hotel rooms are), but very clean and, although basic, well equipped. Location good, with some nice restaurants nearby (we recommend Grumbles - 2 streets away - great food, good price and the bonus of a few celeb diners the night we were there!). Hotel is just a few minutes walk from Victoria train, coach and underground stations. For the price this was a great choice. Rated 4 out of 5: My experience at this hotel was similar to many of the other reviewers. We were in a room directly adjacent to the lobby, but hardly heard a noise from outside. The TV did not work upon arrival, but upon request it was quickly repaired. - Rooms: smallish, but clean and tidy. - Location: 5 mins walk from Victoria Station, walking to distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Parliament regions. - Breakfast: can be crowded and you may have to wait for a table, but well stocked and and fresh. - Wifi: fast internet, but each username/password will work on one device only. A guest who stayed here gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and said: We stayed here for 1 night, had a lovely meal in Chinatown and then went to the Theatre. The room was certainly big enough for us, we liked the free lugguage storage upon departure of our room, the breakfast was buffet, replenished frequently and we liked the option of having a cooked breakfast (yes you don't get Bacon and they did substitute the Mushrooms for Sausages - but that didn't bother us). We could hear a little traffic noise, but we were on the 3rd floor facing the street, but we couldn't hear trains and to be honest by the time we got back from the Theatre were too tired to care! I would certainly recommend this hotel! |
