Rated 4 out of 5:
All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. Our double room was quite compact, but well fitted out, very clean and comfortable.
Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, but nowhere to hang wet outer clothes

Rated 3.5 out of 5:
Hotel was good. The room was clean but small, bed comfortable. The only complaint was that adjoining rooms didn't have brakes on doors so they slammed loudly every time they were opened. Breakfast was very good. Had pre-show drinks and dinner in the nearby "tottenham" on oxford street, which is an excellent, clean pub with separate dining room and a great range of wines and real ale. Very good pub food, well presented and served quickly.

Rated 2.5 out of 5:
Very small room - even for a lone traveller. Very friendly staff helped to make up for that.

Just returned from a long weekend in London.
Found this hotel to be very conveniently situated for the areas we wanted to visit---Theatreland, Covent Garden, etc.
Booked in January after reading some very good reviews from December, 2010. In January some really poor reviews appeared so became concerned about booking. my concerns were proved unfounded.
Lovely welcome at Reception. Good, clean room. Found room rather warm. Mentioned this at reception who immediately provided a fan as there was no air con. Excellent selection at breakfast.
All in all a good hotel which I would visit again

review: I can't believe, in 2009, that I have actually stayed in a London hotel with an avocado bathroom suite! The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and it took forever for the hot water to come through. The service in the restaurant at breakfast was a joke. It took three goes to get tea and coffee served and the poor chap at the next table, who was not quite as vocal, never did get his coffee or toast. Avoid this hotel if you can!

review: I would recommend this hotel for a place you're only going to use as a stopping point - though our room was small and the bathroom was tiny it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Includes a full English breakfast which was excellent.

review: We have stayed at this hotel before and it offers excellent value (if you can get a discounted rate anyway) for a superb location. Close enough to walk to most of Londons attractions and excellent tube links for others. The rooms are clean and match the 3* rating. It is not where you would stay for a romantic weekend however if you plan on spending more of your time outside of the bedroom it is perfectly acceptable as the beds are comfy and the showers good.
It is situated by a lane which has three excellent bars and other bars are within easy walking distance. As for food there are plenty of restaurants withins 200 yards that are of a good quality. I would recommend the French restaurant directly opposite (forgot name)which has lovely food at acceptable prices and is also small enough to be intimate. It is on all accounts a place where the celebs go to eat and a fellow diner of ours was the best known office worker in the country.
