| Rated 3.5 out of 5: We liked the convenience and accessibility and although not luxurious, everything was to hand. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Clean twin room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location, the 390 bus service takes you straight from Euston Station, along Oxford Street and along Bayswater road to your hotel. We stayed in room 8 - don't expect a lay in as the kitchen exhaust fan starts at 7am but apart from that we had a lovely quiet night. Rated 4 out of 5: Needed a base in central London and picked The Byron based on location and price. It styles itself as a 'country house hotel' which having stayed there I'd translate as unplanned layout and narrow corridors. The room itself is best described as 'cosy' in the sense that it was tiny. However, the bed was comfortable, it had everything I needed and at the end of the day you don't go to London to sit in your hotel room. Small bathroom but shower powerful. Staff friendly but handed over the key to my room when I asked for it without asking who I was, which didn't inspire confidence. In short, amazing location, small but adequate rooms and reasonable rates by London prices. A Byron hotel guest rated the hotel at 4 out of 5 and explained: People who travel somewhere just to find the same things they have where they came from, and who aren't interested in exploring different cultures are just annoying, why do they bother travel anyway????!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just tired of reading bad reviews just because a hotel room is small! and they give a 1 out of 5 for that!!! Cmon!!!!!!!! If you will compare hotels you have to remember to compare hotels from the same place, you cant compare London hotels to hotels in the US, where everything is exagurated and XL!!!! You either have to be not so clever, or not been anywhere outside your hometown your entire life! ALL the London hotels have small rooms, and for the money you pay at the Byron what you get is close to perfect! YOU ARE IN LONDON REMEMBER???????????????????????????????? Besides, I can't think of anyone visiting London, looking for the relaxing vacations as if they were in a tropical island...My point is.....with SOOOOOOOO many things to do, if not travelling for business, isn't everyone who is visiting London all day out doing things????????? Why on earth would you need a big room???? The Byron offers very sweet, clean rooms(they are small its true but I dont mind I just use it to sleep and what I consider more important than size is how cozy a room is, all I need is to wake up and feel welcomed and warm, and in Byron you have that), is very close to the centre, is really close to the tube and some major bus services, is located in a very nice neighborhood (just being so close to Hyde Park is such a pron!) and overall for the money you give is a very good choice! Dont give it a second thought honestly............otherwise pay 300/night and stay at a big hotel |
