| Rated 4 out of 5: I did not stay in the executive single room, the hotel " upgraded " me to their apartment room which consisted of a bedroom living room kitchen bathroom. This type of room is great for a family with a baby. My room had no mini bar so I would order from room service but its not the same thing. Rated 5 out of 5: We have stayed at the Capital many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. The service is personal and delightful - you are always remembered by name. The restaurant is delightful (it has an excellent name, by the way). The rooms, although not large, are well appointed. Everything works well. EVen my wife's mobile phone, forgotten in her room at check out, soon found her owner again in Switzerland thanks to the ever-efficient Clive, the Chief Concierge. The hotel is right beside Harrods and has another plus: direct access to/from Heathrow with the Piccadilly Tube line Knightsbridge station A guest of the Capital Hotel gave it 5 out 5 of saying: Just came back from a lovely stay at the Capital - where to start ? The location itself is fabulous for shopping (Harrods, Kings Road, Knightsbridge etc.), but while being right in the center of all, the rooms and the hotel itself are very quiet - no streetnoise. Had a very nice, typically cosy english room, and was delighted with the wonderful Molton Brown products in the bathroom. The staff earns 5 stars for being helpful day and night (special thanks to reception + concierge staff in the evening for making my special and unusual wish come true...) and for always being attentive and present in a discreet way. Definitely will go there again, as soon I have to stay in London again Liked: Location, staff Disliked: nothing |
