| Rated 5 out of 5 by a guest to the Cavendish Hotel: We were recommended to the Cavendish by friends who always stay there. The hotel is very centrally located, a short walk from Piccadilly & St James? Park which makes it an ideal venue. It is tucked away on a relatively quiet street & the higher the floor you choose the quieter your stay will be, away from any traffic noise. We were welcomed on arrival by friendly & professional reception staff and chose to upgrade to a suite for our one night stay. The accommodation & views from the 15th floor were exceptional over the city of London. Rooms are very clean, well appointed and have all you need. We had a slight problem with the air conditioning control, which had an intermittent fault, but apart from that no accommodation problems. Food is excellent & reasonably priced for central London. We ate both in the Lounge & main restaurant for breakfast & had a very good experience, with good quality food served by friendly staff. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when we next visit London. Well done to all the staff at the Cavendish. Rated 5 out of 5: We had booked the Superior from 26 to 31 of December. We arrived at 10:30am and they gave us the room immediatly without any extra charge. We were very pleased with that. The room was very good and we had London Eye view which was perfect especially at night. New Bond street was a step outside the hotel as well as Picadilly Circus and the shoping bags were easilly carried from the shops. Oxford street and Regend street is 5 minute walk when you shortcut from New-Old Bond street. There is only one restaurant , one bar and one lounge bar without any other facilities but it's perfect for a 4 star hotel in the center of London. 15 minutes Internet voucher is given free of charge which is good if you want to check your mail (only 2 public pc's in the entrance area which it's OK if you are lucky to find an empty space). The breakfast was very good and the service excellent. This is a hotel we would definetly recomment if someone is looking for a central location near shops and theatres. We recomment the Superior room for the space. Rated 5 out of 5: Beautiful hotel and fabulous breakfast. Rooms are on the small side but lovely bed and excellent situation near the Royal Academy where we went to see the Van Gogh exhibition. Drinks in the bar are ?8 a pint for lager etc Staff were very friendly, efficient and polite. A well managed hotel with a sense of pride in their standards. Plenty of cheap eateries and bars on the doorstep, as is Fortnum and Mason. |
