| Rated 4 out of 5: Overall I was pretty happy with this Hotel. There were four of us girls that shared one of the apartments and we were pretty happy with the size of the room. Coming from Canada we were told to expect the room to be very small so we expected it to be a closet but were pleasantly surprised that it was bigger then expected. The kitchen was a closet although and perhaps if the door had been removed it would have been better. We liked that the shower and toilet were in different rooms because again 4 girls in there 20's equals a lot of time in the shower. It would have been nice if there was a sink the spot with a toilet though because we often ended up washing our hands in the kitchen sink which is kind of gross. The room was clean which was nice and there was enough room for all of our suit cases. The windows were large and out onto the main street so it was nice to look out and be able to get some air flow. Having the computer with internet access was nice in the lobby and was accessed quite often. Some of the staff were awesome, yet some were ignorant and pretentious to us. It was nice dealing with the nice ones so we often saved our concerns till friendly staff came on. Some of the maintenance workers are a little creepy which made us girls a little sketched out. The location was amazing!!!! When we were booking to come to London we were looking at a hotel in Kensington or at this one and are glad we chose this one because it is close to everything!!!! If I was to go to London again I would stay here. Maybe with only 2 per room though! Rated 4 out of 5: I enjoyed the location and the staff were friendly. The internet access was very useful. The carpets were grubby looking and out dated. The hotel needs redecorating. Rated 3.5 out of 5: decor was a little tired, was surprised to find a bed settee although this did give the room more space. Toaster was not working rang reception and within minutes someone came and collected the faulty toaster and returned with one that worked - very pleased with such a prompt response. Good to find tea towels, washing u liquid and bathroom toiletries - very helpful situation of hotel excellent for my purpose - so close to Charing Cross. Rated 3 out of 5: The room was basic and it was a pull out sofa bed, felt very hard but slept like a log. Carpet had stains on it but overall room clean. Required another blanket which was bought to us quickly, staff very helpful and friendly. Rated 4.5 out of 5: The hotel was great as were the facilities. I was pleasantly surprised, it was a real home from home and I would consider staying her for a longer trip in the future A guest who stayed at the Citadines gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and said: We stayed in this hotel with our 2 children (ages 3 & 5). The kids slept in the bedroom while my husband & I were on the couch in the living room. I have to admit that the couch is very comfortable. There is a kitchenette which is very convenient (especially while on a trip with the kids). We were always able to give them a snack since there is a fridge, stove, toaster & dishwasher. The hotel is very clean and the service is great. If we required something it was just a quick call away. We were well taken care of by the staff. Also, breakfast is available at the hotel, which is pretty nice as well. Nice selection of food. The hotel is right by Trafalgar Square (about a 2 min walk). There are a million shops, restaurants and site seeing tours all around. Having said that, it does get noisy at night. There are a few pubs around and the people get pretty loud after a few too many. It bothered us first couple of nights, but we got use to it. I guess that's the price you pay for staying in the heart of the city. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again. Liked: Location, staff, convenience, Disliked: noisy |
