Rated 4 out of 5:
The room was spotless, and rather spacious for Central London (we stayed in a Standard room; the Superior rooms seemed barely larger).
Very convenient location: less than 5 minutes to the Monument tube station. The staff were efficient in helping us find our way and in dealing with many customers at the same time. Reasonably quiet, although we could sometimes hear over customers in the corridors. Good (and free) Internet connection.
My only complaint is that the breakfast room was not well heated. Also, beware of the rates on the hotel's website: tax is not included!
I'll probably stay there again next time I'm in London.

I got this hotel after bidding on Priceline, something I decided to do after seeing the rates for most hotels for this particular weekend at the very end of October. I actually got it for half the going rate for that night in nearby Travelodges!

Rated 4.6 out of 5:
Liked: Ease of checking in, great facilities, great location, good for tube, shops and theatres.
Disliked: Bath towels too small. Would prefer towel to cover my modesty.
Overall: Brilliant!

This hotel is in a great location, just two minutes walk from Monument tube station. The rooms are a decent size, very clean with decent facilities. The hotel lobby is nice, with free tea and coffee, and all ovber the hotel there is free mineral water dispensers. A few niggles,no hot water on the first night and the walls are very thin, you can hear people in the next rooms chatting and also the very loud boilers kicking in every time someone uses the hot water (when it is working) Overall though,I would use this place again, very central and good quality for the price we paid (?95 a night for a room)
