| Rated 3.5 out of 5: Have stayed a number of times over the past few years. Desk staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast simple but plentiful. Have observed on my most recent visit that the rooms are looking a bit 'tired'. Had to change rooms as the first room we were put in had a broken shower fitting, torn curtains and a loose toilet seat. The second room was better but had a broken air conditioning unit, but we put up with it as we were only there for one night. Rated 4 out of 5: Stayed here twice now. Good points: - good size rooms with lots of storage space - reasonable price - clean - good TV and lots of channels - free WiFi - delicious and friendly Mediterranean restaurant; eaten there three times. Love it. - on a leisure park with cinema, bowling and with other restaurants including tasty and decorative Mexican Chimichanga, Nandos and Cafe Rouge (and McDonalds) - adjoining rooms with doors in between good for families; you can lock them if you need a break from the kids! Less good points: - taps turning off the wrong way and with strong jet so you get drenched; it's only funny once! - broken toilet seat that couldn't be fixed due to xmas hols; they offered to move us but otherwise we were happy with the room - only one double socket. Tip: bring an adaptor with you - room smelled of smoke even though it's no smoking - fairly dire breakfast. How can a tomato be made so tasteless. Awful bacon and sausage. Nasty sliced bread and a toaster that either singes or only warms, doesn't toast. Only black tea or coffee, not choice of teas (eg green or earl grey). Blaring TV isn't what we all want first thing but there are two rooms so you can get away from it. Overall I would definitely recommend it and we'll stay again. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Good value for money hotel on outskirts of London but within easy reach of main attractions in the city centre. The bus (263) stops outside the hotel and takes you down to East Finchley tube station where it is about 20 minutes to Kings Cross or 25 minutes to Leicester Square both on the northern line. If you want to walk from the tube station it will take you about 25 minutes to get back to the hotel but the bus runs very regularly. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Very good value for London hotel, free parking and extended checkout on Sunday, bar still open to residents when we returned at 3.30am, nice size room with shower and bath. No music channels on tv but staff very pleasant and helpful Rated 4 out of 5: Room was much larger and more comfortable than Central London hotel rooms. Much better value also than Central London hotels. Being outside of London I had a better nights sleep as there were no sirens going off all night. London is easily accessible via tube or the bus that stops just outside the complex. The staff were efficient and friendly especially the night staff who keep the bar open as long as is necessary. The breakfasts were good and there was plenty of choice for evening meals from the various restaurants on the complex. As my daughter has just moved to North Finchley I can see me using this hotel more often. Only one gripe - no air conditioning which meant that the room was very stuffy during the night and as I was on the ground floor could not realistically leave the window open. |

| Rating out of 10: 8 Date stayed: December 2005 review: very good ermmmmm bed and breakfast, buffet breakfast was fantastic, rooms very clean with new carpet and good facilities.. there is a vendor with a variety of things in that i forgot, condoms, toothpaste etc.... not one of the staff english but still a lovely place for a weekend. bonus of mcdonalds and nandos right in front too! Rating out of 10: 8 Date stayed: February 2005 review: Very comfortable and spacious room. Helpful staff. Breakfast very nice. Good position to underground. Would book again and recommend to all. Rating out of 10: 8 Date stayed: November 2004 review: Polite and professional staff on reception. We had a problem with our initial room but there was no fuss changing us to another. Would have been nice to have had the option of toast at breakfast [i think the toaster was broken or something]but we generally had a nice time. It was good to be so close to the cinemas, restaurants etc [walking distance]and also to have the option of dinner downstairs or in our rooms. The safety of female customers is also considered in the parking arrangement. We will definitely stay over again. |
