Liked: Value for money. Staff at reception were courteous and efficient.
Disliked: Telephone and safe in the room weren't working. However on informing the staff on reception telephone set was changed immediately and next day, probably the batteries cell were replaced in the safe, as it was working when I returned in the evening.

Liked: I especially liked the hotel was near to a station (houndslow) because you can hop on and go anywhere, and we ate at the pub nearby and it had excellent food, it is near plenty of shops as well, I think its better to get value if you go out of London, you have such good transport system
Disliked: It is in an older area, not really a problem, we were upgraded to a supreme room, which must have meant adding a shabby couch? curtains were shabby but did the trick, you are under the landing path for Heathrow but don't worry all double glazed and we never heard anything just saw them no criticism

Rated 2.7 out of 5 :
Liked: The staff were warm and pleasant. The food is great and the room facilities are in order.
Disliked: The hotel is degenerating into a policy-based rather than people-centered hotel. The management of the hotel care little on the special needs and requirements of guests as they insist on rigid policies to guide their activities. So, if you intend to stay at Continental you must go by the book. The hospitality touch of the hotel is fast eroding.

Rated 2.5 out of 5 :
disappointing Hotel (especially if you're caught paying full rates) This hotel is very tired - marked walls and dirty stained carpets throughout, especially in the communial areas. My room (206) was a good size. One huge floor-to-ceiling window meant the room was very light, but on the down side it puts the room on display to everyone outside. This would be fine if there were net curtains at the window to provide some privacy (there were none. Very strange! ). Furniture in the room was a little strange too - the lowest leather settee I've ever seen! If you had mobility problems you would struggle to get out of your seat. My room had several lose light fittings and wall sockets - bit of a safety risk. The door on the wardrobe wouldn't shut properly. The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower. Very nice for a wake-up shower in the morning. Would be even better if the hotel used some bleach and limescale remover to clean it up. Don't pay full rates for this hotel - you'll be disappoint and it won't be good value. P. S. If you're going by car, the car park is very small (holds only about a dozen cars. Unless there's additional parking elsewhere which I didn't see).

Liked: I stayed 12 days in double standard room ( room no. 403). You can easily get to the hotel from London-Heathrow Airport by tube - Piccadilly Line. It takes 6 minutes only. Get off at Hounslow Central. Leaving the station on the ground floor in the street, turn to the left and after 3 minutes walk you will see glass building at the corner of Lampton Rd. And Balfour Rd. It's the hotel. The entrance from the street has no steps so it's easy even for people with reduced mobility to get to the reception. There is elevator, so you don't have drag you luggage by stairs up to your floor ( there are four floors in the hotel). Staff at the reception is kind and helpful. Room was clean, cleaning on everyday, fresh, new, white hand, face, body towels and they are changed everyday as well. Facilities: there is a small fridge in the room, quite convenient as for me staying for 12 days, also there is a cattle, so you can make coffee or tea ( included in the room rate). And Scottish Walkers butter cookies ( yummy, yummy ! ), mugs, glasses, wine glasses, teaspoons. Small LCD television on the wall, with quite many television stations (mostly B ritish). I found the bed very comfortable as for me. Bathroom is clean and also cleaned everyday. Maybe floor in the bathroom should be renovated a little bit. Hotel is located close to local shopping street area, with many shops and definitely you will leave some money there. To get to shops, go out from the Hotel to Lampton Rd, turn to the left after 5 minutes walk you're there - shops everywhere. Unfortunately hotel charges 13.50 pounds for breakfast, so it's too expensive in my opinion, butt there are many bistros, cafeteerias, fast-food places ( among them: McDonalds, Subway) just round the corner, so you can go out and it your breakfast in the street. Aha, one more: there is a huge food store called asda - going out of the lobby to the street, turn to the right and walk by Balfour street.
Disliked: The only thing I didn't like is deposit requirements : you will be requested at f check-in to leave 50 pounds in cash or credit card deposit per each day of you stay. So, Dear Guests - be prepared for that ! 1

Good hotel The Good, Big Rooms, comfortable Bed, Wet room Shower, Leather Settee, Good Breakfast. Free use of swimming pool, sauna, steam room ect. Bar and restaurant 1 The Bad, None. The not so good, in it's day this hotel would have been top notch but it is a little dated, yes I saw the odd stain on the carpet, there was a bit of dust on top of wardrobe, there was a tare on settee that had been repaired. The Bathroom had been updated but a leak at sometime had stained the wooden surround. Parking the car in hotel £15. Problem with reviews on this site is people compare Bananas with pears, at approx £90 per night you get good value for money, I would have no hesitation bringing the wife and stopping the weekend. I have rebooked for another visit in June.

Disliked: The taps in the bathroom had limescale around it, someone tried to enter our room at about midnight because the staff at the front desk did not check us in. The room was very basic and the window had condensation on it and it could not be opened. The room had a funny smell, which reminded me of damp. It was not good at all!

Liked: The bed, the room decor, the shower and the location.
Disliked: Breakfast was inexplicably expensive and the restaurant seemed the same. Didn't even bother with that. We had stayed here before do we expected our superior double room to be like the last one we had stayed at only to be told that the rooms vary in size so the room we got in the end was much smaller than expected. In the end we decided to stay anyway. We enjoyed it though.

Disliked: Car parking for £15 a day is very poor with only a very small car park onsite always full they have another car park down the road which our van wouldn't fit in also it was down a dodgy backstreet so I don't think we would of left it in that car park anyway, I was not told the car park was £15 per day until I checked out I thought it was free as they just gave me a permit when we checked in

Staff knowledgeless, incorrect info given, couldn't swing a hamster! We were told incorrect pool opening times so when we went to go for a swim the pool had closed, so we couldn't use the facilities as hoped. The staff gave us incorrect local opening times, showing lack of local knowledge. The receptionist was impossible to understand and I can't really blame him but I would have thought a receptionist would have been expected to have a solid command of the English language. The room, for a twin, was tiny and the shower had one heat setting. Scalding hot!

Liked: The hotel was very close to Hounslow stop (very helpful as pouring with rain at the time! ), the front desk staff were pleasant and informative. Room setting was good, plenty of space for us. Food was also to a good standard.
Disliked: When going to our room for the first time there was a plate in the corridor with food left on it. It was not the best first impression but when we walked through the corridor shortly after it was gone.

Liked: Loved the location, the room and the facilities. Had a good stay but it could have bedn better.
Disliked: Once I got in the hotel I went for a shower, I was amazed to find out that there was no hot water! I don't understand how any hotel charging people to stay has no hot water. I was very disappointed and when I contacted reception they said they will find someone to look it up and will call us. After a hour my partner had to contact them for them to say it should work by 10/11pm. This did not take place and me and my partner had to shower in cold water in order for us to go out and enjoy our anniversary. We were promised breakfast which we later did not get in the morning. Due to showering in cold water me and my partner have a bad cold and also there was no heating in the morning. I tried to contact the hotel this morning to talk to the manager and ask for my deposit as son as possible! Not happy at all.
