We went to London with our 70 year old mom whom had sprained her ancle a few weeks earlier. We contacted the hotel to make sure we had a room on the ground floor, that was easy to accsess - and to ask if there was any chance of borrowing a wheelchair for the duration of our stay - and got both. The room was nice, clean and quiet. My sisters were first offered a room they described as a traincabin - small and HOT - with no chance of opening the window. They complained, and got offered another room, where there also was no cnance of opening the window. At the end, they were offered the room vis-a-vis ours, a larger and comfy room. We all experienced that the staff were very helpful, both the concierge and the breakfast personell. The location is great, just over the road from Hyde Park - A nice stroll to Oxford street :-)

Rated 4.3 out of 5:
The excellent location of the hotel premises. It is very close to Lancester underground station and in the heart of Central London. Very conveneient to reach from any part of London by underground or bus.
Disliked: The bedroom was small in size.
Overall: We had booked a standard double bedroom (with attached bath) @ GBP 89 per night. The size of the room (Room no. 567) was extremely small. However, i suppose that the location is such that bigger rooms will command a higher premium. It so happened that the electrical switch to our bathroom got spoilt and the hotel staff had to shift us to a larger room (room no. 105)(which also was standard double B/R with attached bath!) So I guess the hotel has real small rooms for these internet bookings at reduced prices and bigger rooms which they would like to sell at a higher price! On the whole, we had a pleasant experience staying at this hotel. I would also like to mention that the rooms were extremely clean.

Rated 5 out of 5:
Hotel very clean but the room was small with little storage space. However, for a short break it was ideal and we would definitely stay again. We were able to leave our cases on the day of departure and the hotel was very close to the underground station. Had a meal at the hotel - good service and a very good meal but the wine, although good, was a bit expensive.

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
We select this area when visiting London without the car because of good bus and tube links and a taxi rank at the door. Kensington Gardens provides an escape from the bustle of the city . The room was clean and much quieter than other city centre hotels I have experienced. It had the amenities we needed but lacked drawers and hanging space was limited. If we had been on a longer trip, we would have accepted the reduced priced upgrade offered on arrival. The full English Breakfast gave good start to a busy day. However we would particularly recommend a pre - theatre meal.

Date stayed: August 2005
review: Hi there

Just a short note to thanks you for making our stay at your Hotel very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed staying with you over the period 17th August to 22nd August and will hope to return again.

I feel the Hotel is ideally situated in being just out of main stream rush but close enough to be able get to all parts of London in no time at all.

Thank you again could you perhaps remind me of the name you allocate to rooms overlooking the park.
