| Rated 5 out of 5: Until recently I lived in London for many years and for my money you can't get a better location. This little boutique hotel is an easy walk to all the best shops, restaurants and bars of Covent Garden and Soho as well as all of London's theatres. Despite its vibrant location the hotel is beautifully quiet and feels like a real sanctuary from the hustle and bustle. The rooms feel a bit like staying in the comfortable country home of a friend, very warm and cozy during one of the coldest London winters on record. All mod cons and luxuries are present, lovely bath products and stationery - the welcome gift of a lovely box of pencils was a nice touch. The bed and bedding are particularly good, fabulous crisp linens really contribute to that comfortable luxury feel. The staff were always friendly and professional, without any of the attitude that you occasionally see at London's tonier hotels. The restaurant and bar are really great, fabulous casual atmosphere, perfect for anything from a drink with friends to proper dinner. My only suggestion would be that the cost of the wireless internet be reviewed. 20 GBP per day is really too expensive for an extended stay, especially when so many hotels offer it as a free perk these days. Rated 5 out of 5: Very friendly staff. Most unusual for London. All the rooms are good but if you get the chance try the one that they claim has got the biggest bed in London. The food is great and well presented and the dining room is much better now they increased the size and got rid of that silly side room. they've plenty of other room for private dining. The lounge area upstairs is very relaxing and has an honesty bar which is useful. They also have a small screening room but if you stay at valentines day don't eat at the hotel cause the they have a special, meal/flick deal which fills the place up with casual dinners and make the service very slow. Great location, right in the middle of the west end and if your a celeb watcher the place is full of them A Covent Garden Hotel guest rated the hotel 5 out of 5 and commented: The attention one receives at this hotel is unmatchable. Everything is perfect. They can't do enough for you and remember your likes and dislikes from stay to stay. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate, with a size not often seen in London hotels. It is a far better value than other luxury hotels in London. Includes an amazing breakfast and the area could not be more perfect. Stay nowhere else in London. You will NEVER be disappointed at the Covent Garden Hotel. I only wish I could live there! Liked: Impeccable service, great rooms, lovely lounge Disliked: That I can't stay longer! |
