Rated 5 out of 5:
We really enjoyed our stay at this impressive hotel. The receptionists and concierge were really friendly and helpful and happy for us to have our picnic upon arrival in the hotel garden. Easily the nicest family hotel room we have stayed in. With two double beds, room to move around, luxury bathroom, ipod docking station and large flat screen TV. The location is fantastic as 2 mins walk from tube station and 5 mins walk from Natural History Museum, Science and V & A Museum. The breakfast was really good value including fruit , cereals, toast, continental breakfast and full English and plenty of it ! Would stay again and recommend to others.

We stayed here for one night and booked through Expedia. On arrival they were quick and efficient at reception and we were able to access our room even though it was only about 1.00 p.m. The room was at the back of the hotel and looked out over the garden. It was spacious, clean and had a great bathroom (large shower but no bath but this suited us) and huge, comfortable bed. The bath products were good and there were extras such as chocolate, water, sleep spray and magazines. I don't know if this was an upgraded room or not but we certainly got value for money and were delighted with the hotel. The location is ideal, across the road from a tube station, a large supermarket and lots of bars and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

Liked: Rooms are o.k. and the hotel is close to underground station.
Disliked: Breakfast is expensive.
Overall: The room rate should be more cheaper.

review: We were unfortunate enough to book into this hotel (thank goodness it was only for one night!).  We were given room 114 on the first floor and therein lay the pronblem. We checked in at approx 7pm and as we made our way to our room it became evident that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovation.  Obviously, no work was actually being carried out at that time of the evening but it did make us wonder why there had been no mention made of this at time of booking.  As we had just driven for 8.5 hours from Scotland we were loking forward to a good night's sleep.  However the beds were lumpy and uncomfortable and this was not to be.  Our appointment in London the next day was not until 11.00am so we decided to have a lie in as we were so tired. Some chance!!!!!  We were rudely awakened at approx 08.00am by the sound of drills and hammers right outside our door!!!!  I thought "surely not" - but on opening the door of our room was met by the sight of approx 6 burly workmen working away a couple of feet from our door.  I immediately phoned reception to complain and was told that the management had made the decision to let out the room regardless of the fact that quite extensive building work was being carried out on that floor!  I was flabbergasted but did not pursue the matter with the receptionist as English was not her first language and she was quite obviously struggling with an adequate explanation!!!!  If you are thinking of booking this hotel - think again, the location  is superb but the accommodation is far from it!!!  This was my first experience with the Holiday Inn Group and a most unpleasant one at that!!!!  We spoke to other guests in the elevator on our way down to breakfast and they too had similar grievances which seemed to have been swept aside by the reception staff.  Overall a poor experience.

review: This hotel is in a fantasic location and is also very clean and close to the tube station. This is by far the best hotel which we have stayed in London, we were so impressed that we have booked up to stay there again.
