| Rated 4 out of 5: As always, the convenience of location, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, and the choice of good food at breakfast were enhanced by the charm, friendliness and efficiency of the staff. We will return. Rated 5 out of 5: Nicely situated close to Lancaster Gate and Paddington Tube and mainline this is a very able hotel. The reception staff are not only helpful but they look good too! The hotel is close enough to Hyde Park to go for a jog in the morning and then return for a shower in the modern and spotlessly clean bathroom before proceeding to the LGF for an excellent breakfast cooked freshly for you - what more could a guy ask for. TV had a clear picture and I was upgraded to a small suite which included a lounge with a further TV - smashing! To conclude therefore, a friendly feel hotel , not big but just right - worth all the praise it gets. Rated 5 out of 5: I stay here a couple of times a year. My employers are happy to pay for a more expensive hotel in Westminster but I choose the Darlington. It is clean, quiet and excellent value. It is within a few minutes walk from the tube and shops. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. You will not find better value. It is also worth noting that the guests staying here tend to be a discerning lot who will respect your privacy. I have never experienced any problems with delay at breakfast and any request that I have made of the front desk has been met only with courtesy and polite respect. A past guest to the Darlington Hyde Park gave the hotel 5 out 5 of and said: The Darlington is a good, clean, well staffed hotel that is affordable. It has an excellent location in Paddington (about 5 minutes from the tube) and the rooms are simple but very very clean. It deserves its four star rating as it is very well run, with great staff. The hotel is simply but comfortably furnished and is great value for money. I have stayed there for 7 nights now in total, and all my experiences have been great. |

| Rating out of 10: 8 Date stayed: June 2011 review: Best part is the location, well connected and easy to get to any tourist attraction in the city. Paddington underground station is a few minutes away. Rooms are clean and comfortable and staff are very helpful I think one of the best hotels on Sussex gardens. Good to be there with my family. Rating out of 10: 8 Date stayed: October 2008 review: our triple room was very clean with comfortable beds and the bathroom was spotless. The only negative being that the room was in the basement and one felt very closed in. Breakfast was hearty and the staff all around were very considerate and friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the Darlington and will definitely go back there again. |
