We stayed(3 of us) here for 10 nights and found our experience great.The rooms were as advertised quiet and very clean,the staff was courtious and helpfull.The Welcome Break service plaza was also a great, but a bit of an overpriced choice if we could not get into the nearby towns for food and supplies.With a bit of planning this Days Inn is a great base to visit London the south west and northern UK.A great variety of restaurants and take-out places can be found in nearby Barnet & Potters Bar.A car is needed but the free car park is plentifull.Our daily trips to London consisted of driving to the High Barnet Underground station(just 3.3 miles away) and using the car park for 3GBP per day(pretty cheap).From here also we easily made our way to Windsor,Salisbury,(Stonehenge),Gloucester&Oxford.In closing for supplies and food you should check out the Tesco superstore in Potters Bar(2.5 miles) you will find everything you will ever need.

I stayed at this hotel this week with my Mother and two children (aged 7 and 3). Firstly upon arrival we were quite disappointed to find there was no restaurant at the Hotel(although the Days Inn website states there is) just a vending machine. Secondly we were suprised to make it out of rickety lift and not spend our overnight stay stuck inside it. Then we made it to the room. Basic, fairly clean, the bedding looked like it had seen better days (perhaps as a dust sheet) but hey ho for ?55 a night it's never going to be The Ritz. I asked at Reception for a couple more pillows and was brought two which had come fom a Smoking room as that was all they could offer. We settled down and apart from the smell had a reasonable night. The next morning, taking the bags down to the car, I was met by dirty looks from the cleaners, my Mum had laundry almost dropped on her head as she went down the stairwell and then a warning from the Receptionist to stop smoking as the cleaners were on to us! We were horrified! Both my Mum and I are non smokers and had certainly NOT been smoking in the room or anywhere else, We explained this and said perhaps the pillows were the reason the room smelt smoky and we were quite offended to have been accused of smoking in a non smoking room with children. The non-english speaking cleaners continued to scowl and we felt like at worst naughty teenagers at best 3rd rate guests. All of this fiasco took place in front of my children. We were refunded ?10 as an apology. What an insult. Will not be staying at a Days Inn again!

Liked: It was convenient for us attending a function locally
Disliked: Room was a bit drab and in need of refurbishment
Overall: Service at Reception was very good and friendly. It would be a good idea to advise clients that parking is in the actual Serices Area. I had difficulty trying to find a place near to the Hotel and all Notices say Parking is restricted to 2Hrs. All is revealed when you Check-in!!!

the staff on reception were very friendly ,helpful and professional.good location only slight negative was shower head need repair.
