Luxury without pretension; feeling of calmness not sure if there was a breakfast room or not! Overall: To be honest I came across this hotel which was slightly outside my business allowance as all other hotels were full and I felt able to spend a little extra. The description (and reviews) interested me as I have spent too many nights in dreary rooms, and the boutique style of hotels currently popular have too much of the Emperors' Clothes about them where style is all and substance very little. I lioked the low key but obviously caring atmosphere. I loved the little touches such as name on door and personal note welcoming me to the room rather than that annoying message displayed on the TV screen you get (again) too often. In other words I felt that I was a valued customer and not just a body on the bed.
