| A guest who stayed at these apartments gave the premises 3 out 5 of
saying: Excellent location a short walking distance to two tube stations & Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. A couple of blocks from the tour route of hop on/hop off bus tour service. Terrific continental breakfast in sunny breakfast room. Area is multi-cultural, with many shops & restaurants a block away. We had two rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the 4th - adequate space felt roomy compared to Paris hotels. Kitchenette was handy for snacks, but accessories were not adequate for true meal preparation. In one of our rooms, the carpet and couch were very dirty, but the bathrooms, kitchen & linens were clean. Request rooms on the upper floors, as there is a bustling night life every night of the week, and the adjacent residential neighborhood meant locals hanging around street by the ground level, with a substantial noise level. Staff was polite but not friendly. The phone system hotel-wide was broken the entire stay, with no outgoing calls possible. Make sure to double check the type of room you are getting - we reserved two rooms with 2 twins ea., but were assigned double beds. At check in, they moved our teens to another room with twins, but it was on a separate floor. This hotel is best for business travelers or families with older children - it is not particularly child-friendly. I would stay again, because of its location and reasonable rates. |
